Before any watch appears in our inventory, it goes through the same set of checks. This is what happens between the moment a watch arrives and the moment it is offered to you.
I.Authentication
We examine the watch against its reference: case, dial, hands, bracelet, serial and reference numbers, and the details that should match the model and period. Anything that doesn’t add up, we don’t sell.
For extra peace of mind, clients can choose Benison escrow for independent third-party authentication.
II.A timegrapher check
Every piece is performance checked on a timegrapher before it is offered. The timegrapher listens to the movement and shows how it is running, including how many seconds it gains or loses per day, its amplitude, and its beat error.
Those readings tell us whether the movement is healthy or due for attention.
III.Service when it’s needed
If a watch needs work, it is serviced through a trusted watchmaker before it is sold. If it doesn’t, we tell you that too.
If there’s a mark on the bracelet, we’ll tell you before you ask.
IV.Condition, written plainly
We note condition honestly: scratches, polishing, bracelet wear, and box and papers status. We say “year unknown” when the paperwork doesn’t prove the year.
V.Filmed, insured and shipped
Every shipment is photographed and filmed before it leaves our hands. Watches ship via FedEx, fully insured, with signature required.
Every Roam watch includes a one-year movement warranty and a 24-hour money-back guarantee.
